At Reader’s Digest, I was given the opportunity to test my Photoshop knowledge in the print magazine industry. The dog and Einstein above were photographed individually by Russ and Reyn and the files were given to me for processing and compositing. The image on the left was my final file and the image on the right was the September 2018 “Genius Issue” of Reader’s Digest.
This was my first Photoshop task during my internship, as well as my first byline. It is composed out of 17 different images from Shutterstock, which are all mentioned in the article.
A task I was given in the midst of my internship was to composite Grumpy Cat in a number of ways. The original image was created by Jeff Minton and the mouse was added by myself in post for Reader’s Digest November 2018 “Funniest Jokes Since the Internet” issue.

This image was my favorite to create, both in camera and in post production. After carefully styling the rooms with tiny doll furniture, each room was individually lit and photographed, as well as the exterior of the dollhouse. In post production, the dollhouse and rooms were composited together with colorful wallpaper added. To create more balance, each piece of furniture was enlarged to show detail.
